Robbery Business Law

The act of stealing property by threat of harm or death.

Definition: the action of taking property unlawfully from a person or place by force or threat of force.

An example would be a person asking for money at gunpoint.

Case Example: McCain V Texas: 2000. McCain ordered an appeal on his case of aggravated robbery on the basis that the evidence for aggravated was insufficient both legally and factually. The appeal court agreed and remanded the decision to just robbing. It was sent back to Trial for new punishment for the new crime.
