Galileo vs Catholic Church
- They see Galileo’s work and belief as foolish as it went against scripture, and they label him as a heretic
- Dialogs (galileo’s work) is added to the banned book list by the church
- Galileo is on trial, and he is sentenced to house arrest, continued to write.
- This resulted in a shock in the scientific community, causing most discoveries to be made north due to the fear of the church.
