Issues In Africa
The first country to gain independence is South Africa. Many other countries followed in the 1960s and quickly became dictatorships. Additionally, most of these countries stuck with imperialist borders and not ancient tribal borders, creating ethnic conflict. Examples of these ethnic conflicts are the Nigeria- Biafran War, Somalia, Rwandan Civil War, and Sudan’s Darfur region.
